This issue was caused when “Club One Six One” (previously based in Hale Village), relocated to The Cheshire Lounge. Their initial flyers stated they would be running every weekend of the month. I am pleased to be able to confirm that a degree of over zealousness occurred in their publicity department and all our “Normally 3rd Saturday Of The Month” Seductive Soul” nights are to run as planned – dates up to 2011 already fixed. You may be aware that the downstairs Club area of the Cheshire Lounge was flooded twice over the last few months resulting in a distorted dance floor and a carpet which emitted an “Interesting Odour”! A new dance floor has now been fitted and the carpet has now been replaced by a new tiled floor. Jukebox for all who have complained about the lack of tunez on this site - Especially "Magner's Lady". Sound files are cut to low quality so you can play in the office but if any copyright owners / artists want any of the sound files removed just drop me a mail and I will happily remove. First Night At The Red Hall (Between Christmas & New Year) - Tuesday 29th December 2009 It's taken a few years to find a suitable venue on the North Side Of Manchester which would fully satisfy the requirements of our discerning guests, but we are now pleased to be able to confirm the following: "Seductive Soul – On The North Side" will run on a Friday evening once a month in 2010 in The Holcombe Suite at the recently re-built and super easy to find, Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley, Bury, BL9 5NA - 300 metres from Jun 1 M66. Please note the nights at The Red Hall Hotel will run in conjunction with the nights at The Cheshire Lounge - it is NOT a replacement. For information, The Red Hall Hotel is just a further 5 minute drive from the Prestwich exit of the M60. We have been able to obtain a special Hotel Room rate of £50 for a Double Room or £60 including breakfast (bookings via the hotel). We are not anticipating “Seductive On The North Side” will be on the scale of our events at The Cheshire Lounge - ("Seductive On The South Side"), but we believe that the quality and ambience of the Red Hall Hotel will meet with the approval of our Guests (especially our loyal supporters from the North Side Of Manchester / West Yorks). Please Click Photo Picasa Map Link - Click To View Multimap Link Aerial View of Location of The Cheshire Lounge from Jim's Helicopter Think the above easily shows the location of The Cheshire Lounge in relation to the M56 / A556 but to help one or two people trust the following details are of assistance: From M56 - exit at Junction 7 - follow the slip road and filter left onto the main A556. Immediately indicate RIGHT and move over to the RIGHT lane of the dual carriageway, filter into the "Safety Island" and then cross the opposite carriageway into the drive which leads to The Cheshire Lounge (look out for "Light Blue Lights" in trees). If you miss this right turn you will come to a set of traffic lights (1 mile) and the "Swan Premier Lodge" will be on your left - TURN ROUND and head back to the M56 and The Cheshire Lounge will be on your left hand side as you approach the main Lymm roundabout (entrance immediately before the Department Of Transport Wagon Weighing Area) From M6 - Exit at Junction 19 - follow signs for Manchester Airport on the A556. After about 1 mile you will come to the main traffic lights at Mere (Mere Golf Club). Keep straight on through these light, after about 300 meters there is a SPEED CAMERA!, keep going to the next set of traffic lights (Swan Premier Lodge on RIGHT). As above, keep straight on for exactly 1 mile and turn left into the drive which leads to The Cheshire Lounge (look out for the “Light Blue Lights” in the trees). If you overshoot this left turn, head down to the main Lymm roundabout, go all the way round the roundabout to come back to the A556 and then keep right and filter off into the "RIGHT safety Island" after about 100 meters, and then cross the carriageway into the drive leading to The Cheshire Lounge. With the new "Digital" technologies coming more affordable, I acquired my new toy and went off to enjoy the "Paparazzi" life style.
